Foreign Legion Team Recruiting For The 2 REP De Parachutists

My name is Alex (legioninternationale) i am from Scotland and am of ex military along with PSD and PMC background. I live in Kalamata and  am currently recruiting a Foreign Legion airsoft team. I will be looking for guys with combat \ military \ conflict simulation interests. I will provide you with all drills and training for conflict simulations, we will conduct weekends of fitness and drills finishing with a training scenario using actors, vehicles etc.  In order to have maximum realism and successful outcomes at scenario events where operations are carried out correctly, the team must operate with military precision and discipline. To get operators to work in this way, training is not just combat techniques but fitness and understanding military orders and command structure, this is imperative! After a weekend of final combat tests and fitness fun you will officially become part of the team!

What we are looking for...
Guys who are interested in military \ combat simulations, English or French speakers with an average fitness level (You will get the use of a military style fitness gym if needed). Previous military experience is a bonus but not necessary.

What you will need...
A sense of humour of course! Our team is based on the French Foreign Legions 2 Rep De Parachutists. In order to do this you will need the correct uniform which is based on a minimum to operate with. Before any items are bought you must check with the Sergent Chef (Legion internationale). The uniform consists of...

1 x combat shirt (French Woodland)
1 x combat trousers (French Woodland)
1 x Green 2 Rep Beret and badge
1 x Foreign Legion Shoulder Insignia
1 x France patch
1 x March Or Die Patch
1 x Name tape
1 x 2REPFFL Wings
1 x Rank patch
1 x White Képi Blanc
1 x Combat boots, if black they are the ranger type with buckles at the top, or desert boots of your choice.
1 x green or french camo t shirt
1 x 2 Rep sports t shirt and shorts
1 x sports shoes
1 x plate carrier or assault vest or webbing. This can be French Camo or plate carriers in Tan or or OD etc
1 x French backpack/ rucksack.
1 x FAMAS rifle ( I will provide support weapons i.e. M249s etc) M4 can be used as an alternative but will eventually need to be replaced by the FAMAS
1 x combat gloves
1 x protective glasses
1 x 2 way radio
1 x headset or earpiece and frog mic etc
6 x low cap magazines

Don't be put of by the kit list as most of the uniform is available Surplus, air soft equipment is readily available at the Airsoft Club Shop including FAMAS, Plate Carriers, Mags etc etc. I can get all French Foreign Legion items and a very reasonable price and only a weeks wait.  Some of the kit above can be shared from other team members and of course we don't expect you to have it all from the beginning! Its far better to come and meet us, have a go and see if its for you.

When do we meet...
Don't be alarmed at the distance if your not in Kalamata. We will arrange team meets in Athens and Kalamata. We will conduct physical training however in Kalamata. Combat training can be done at any field depending on what the training is to be i.e. if we are inserting by Heli thats a kalamata only training event! I will provide as i said training and also training literature for you to take away and keep.

There are also command ranks available, tests will include... fitness - 20k march with kit. Bleep test, cross fit circuit, 500m swim.
fieldcraft - show skills in the field followed by a night operation, leading an attacking patrol.
skill at arms - show how to use a rifle and support weapon safely, shoot on the range then CQB
target shoot.
navigation - lead a patrol on a day and night operation point to point.
Legion history - when was the Legion founded, famous battles, where the Legion is based and operational today etc.

News Update
We now have a military helicopter at our disposal! Also our regiment Snatch Land Rover will be making its way to Kalamata next week.
Recruit Intake dates coming shortly, You will need to be ready for some of the below listed... 10km march to battle
fieldcraft including living, cooking and hygiene on OPs. We will also cover FIBUA (Fighting in built up area) Patrol skills including actual patrol techniques, patrol harbours etc.

Info on Training to commence
I will give exact training schedule when intake training is to commence. Training of Legionnaires can be done in 2 weekends or 4 days for basic training that is. Ranks i.e. Corporal is a 6 day or 3 weekend course. On completion of courses you will receive our airsoft team certificate and right to our insignia. Legionnaires passing out will also receive our team certificate and right to our Kepi Blanc!

Christmas Cribs
Lastly as you know Christmas is coming up and in the Legion we celebrate and crib making is a big event! We will split into groups of 2, in that pair you will construct a working model of a famous Legion battle or event, incorporate the festiveness and there you have it, Christmas Cribs! Winners get a festive French hamper from the SGT Chef and will be goodies to enjoy over the holiday!
